Among many things, Debra is a mother, a teacher, a healer and a practicing yogi. Trained as a Bodytalk healer and certified in 2009 by the International Bodytalk Association, Deb began her study of the body as an undergraduate and graduate nursing student at the University of Pennsylvania and went on to teach Nursing, Growth and Development and Physical Assessment at Rush University in Chicago and Pediatric Nursing at Seton Hall University in NJ.   While at Penn, she participated in 2 sports and earned 8 Varsity letters as well as was inducted to the University of Pennsylvania Hall of Fame for Athletics in 2012.  Her interest in sports and fitness continued throughout her life as she played and coached many sports with sticks and balls eventually finding her way into the yoga world.

While at times her advanced trainings in the Bodytalk system and explorations in the yoga arena seemed to run in parallel, happily they have come together for a deeper blend of understanding.  Nearly a decade ago she traveled with a small group of healers and shamans high into the Andes Mountains of Peru to provide health services to the Q'ero people.  The trip was mystical and magical and all benefited from the power of Ayni, a reciprocal energy share.  Everything and everyone is connected.  When one gives, one receives.

In addition to the advanced PaRama course work within the Bodytalk system, Deb is also a certified Reiki practitioner and has studied Source Point, BioGeometry, Mindscape, Cranial Sacral Therapy, San Baio – Unlocking the Three Treasures of the Chinese Wisdom Tradition, Body Ecology, Three brains and the Soul and Epi-Genetics.

Knowing that each of us is unique, taking a dive into the ancient science of Astrology, which has been around since the Babylonian age, we can learn from the snap shot of the heavens at the time of your birth, the influence of the macrocosmic energies on your being. Astrology is more popular than ever and it is one way to learn more about who you are and are meant to be.

As a yoga practitioner, Deb has taken to finding balance in her life through meditation, yin yoga and flow in movement.  In her yoga education, Deb has completed more than 500 hours beyond her basic 200 hour to earn an E-RYT 200 teacher title in yin and vinyasa flow yoga.   She practices yoga to keep balance in her life and uses the total sum of her education to bring this wealth of information from the collective conscious into the Bodytalk session.
