"I have suffered from anxiety for the past five years and my therapist suggested that I try yoga. I began with the vinyasa classes and after some persuading tried a yin class. During my first class, I could barely hold the poses for a minute. The thought of staying still, not only in body but also in mind, for longer than 30 seconds made me panic. I kept at the yin practice and slowly started to get "better". I signed up for this training in hopes to deepen my practice. I never expected to get as much out of this as I did. Not only have my poses improved, but the space and clarity in my mind is unbelievable. I am now able to meditate for longer than I could even sit still. My new knowledge of the meridians also helps me to understand the feelings that are brought up during certain poses. This has not only improved my yin practice but my vinyasa practice as well.
